Try cognitive behaviour therapy. Its not counselling, its more practical. You'd learn how to notice when you're being negative and then change your attitude.
Changing your body language and behaviour changes how you feel, so it re-enforces itself.
So for example if I catch myself saying 'I can't do that' I'd stop, and tell myself 'I'll see if I can learn how to do that'.

Ur personaility is a reflection of urself :) most of the time, we put our focus on '''what we dun hav'' instead of ''what we do have'' big mistake.
Positive attitude is mainly being cheerful. When others see u, first thing in the morning, just by looking at ur smile, they smile back! u can make someone's day just by smiling!
Have goals and find someone that motivates & inspires u. It could be someone u truly respect. For example, maybe ur mom or a teacher. That way its easily reaching ur goal :)
Know that, there's always someone out der less fortunate den you are. If u like helping people, being a volunteer is a head start. All u need is dedication.
God bless!

In order for one to improve their personality, they must first realize that there is a problem with their personality and that they’re looking for a helpful solution. A person can change their personality by thinking about what positive qualities and negative traits you have, make a pros and cons list. Write next to the positive qualities what's negative about them and next to the negative traits what's positive about them; after doing this, decide with a clear mind what you want to eliminate from your personality and what is permanent and there to stay. Try this with a best friend or a partner; I think they'll be honest with you and offer you support with your solutions. Try asking for their honest opinions and ask what does other people dislike about your disposition or personality.

You have your own personality, it is unique and for that reason you can only build on it & not change it.
I recommend doing as many different good and fun things with as many different people, in as many different countries and absorb as much information as you can. You will then be open minded, experienced and with a deeper personality than before because you can back up your statements.
You personality is made up of lots of different parts so best concentrate on the good parts and less on the bad parts (Or try and improve the bad parts)
Does that make sense?

I think it is unfair for anyone to say that they need to improve their personality, maybe their attitude, but not personality.
One mans meat, is another mans posion. Just because we find someone boring, or negitive, doesn't mean everyone will.
If you yourself feel that you would like to be more positive, there is no advice on this planet that can help you. Only you can help you, why don't you force yourself to see the good in every situation. Or just let the bad things in life go over your head?
There is nothing we on Yahoo answers do.
Good luck.

First of all, try to look at things from others' points of view. Don't criticize, complain, or condemn. If you do, they will do just the same to you and things will get even worse. Instead, try to understand them and find out the cause of the problem. When the problem gets sorted out, they will appreciate you for being a good person. Smile, don't frown. Count your blessings, not your problems.

Identify where you are lacking, understand why it is a problem, then formulate a way to correct it.
But the first thing is to identify your problem and that could be done by asking some of the people around you.
