I am sure the majority of you have heard of this legend before in some fashion or another... but having once lived in San Antonio for 10 years and performing the experience personally, I would like to explain some actual facts about this infamous urban legend. This story is none other that the haunted railroad tracks. So the rumor goes, when you put your car in neutral, the hands of ghost children killed by a train accident in the 1950's supposedly push your car over the tracks to safety.

Well, this story actually has a factual basis. If you are ever in San Antonio, if you head south on Highway 281 and turn off on Loop 410 west, exit into a little subdivision, there is a set of railroad tracks. Back in the 1950's it is documented that a school bus with children was hit on the tracks, killing the children and driver. Even the streets in this area are named after the children.

Yup. Been there, done that. Although it's never been proven that it really happened (the crash between school bus and train), but it was very atmospheric and creepy. Mind you, now it's usually crowded with people, so it is not as much of an "experience" as it once was.
