Unfortunately Ebonics is now an official language.
Rap is hardly music at all.
Uneducated people just seem to gravitate to Rap.
It takes all kinds.

I listen to rap music, and as you can clearly see there are no expletives in this res[onse despite the fact that there are more than three words.
I presume that you are not very familiar with rap at all. Rather you base your judgement on a few bad examples. Most rap is rather eloquent, and most rapper to NOT use profanity.

Rap, ultimaely, is not responsible. It merely follows the bad trend found in many areas. The lack of support from parents to help with their children's homework, the lack of reading (a reason to say Hooray! for Harry Potter), the disinclination to succeed in school. The situation is terrible far before it gets to rap singers/groups.

I agree with you. I believe that Rap music has a huge impact on their listeners, by way of speech, mannerisms and attitude. Everything about it stinks, but these kids and some adults in their quest to be cool can't seperate fantasy from reality and somewhat portray those they listen to and watch. Gangstas? Nope, retards.

I think Rap music's fans have poor vocabulary because of what they choose and how they choose to converse. Of couse one could say it is another dialect of english just like souther english or norther english.

I do not listen to rap music, but I would suffice to say that it is not the music that makes them speak like that, but a choice they make to emulate someone who they may never meet, never see, never hold or hug or have anyone care about them, but to emulate them is a worshiping

No. It has to do with your parents and them allowing you a good education. I listen to rap music and I obviously speak with some intelligence.

what the **** are you talking about? Rap music doesn't ******* rot your ******* brains!!! Get your ******* **** straight. Assholes who listen to rap don't say **** and **** you jackass!
Lol, actually yes, rap music will rot your brain a little bit and you can't help but swear. The problem is not so much hip hop in general, it's the specific hip hop that you listen to. If you listen to alot of gangsta rap, then yeah you will swear, but if you listen to Mos Def, Talib Kweli, or Common, your brain and knowledge will increase!

Blame parents...not music. If the parents "tried" sincerely to educate their children.....blame the kids for not listening, not music.
