How about something quiet and peaceful that you can have on quietly in the background? Nothing too heavy or that you are going to feel the need to sing too - nothing that will disturb you too much.

i think that's a matter of personal taste. try to choose something that u like, but that u can have on as back ground music, so that it doesn't interfere with your thoughts and studies..... as one person mentioned, pink floyd can be quite relaxing (although all those alarm clocks going off during 'time' can be a bit distracting. lol).

this may sound like a crazy answer but read a book by Masaru Emoto, miracles of water (Highly Recommended) it talks about the human body being mostly made of water and how different types of music can affect it may help.
