I like statistics, databases, history of society/anthropology, media/consumer/advertising psychology, journalism, alternative medicine, analizing and the natural world.
Mathemathics is a no, has to be words over numbers. Did a module for the OU but lost interest, after one of my questions to answer was wich character in Eastenders I would see myself as. I answered it though, the tutor replied i had promise but needed discipline. Few years back now, it was called 'Living in a changing society'.
I'm a mature student so am looking at the OU. I know i can go on their site and check it all out myself. But i'm hoping someone might have some inspirational wisdom or food for thought on here :-)

On the maths ... i'm a brilliant number cruncher but that is where it stops. Sort of been playing with the idea of accountancy but would rather have a degree and accountancy to me is like a trade qualification.

If you are going to use the OU take an open degree, This is where you can take modules from several degrees you like and get a degree qualification without following a specific subject. I looked into European medieval history the classics and philosophy. which gives you a general humanities degree.
Good luck.

Don't get a degree in history or philosophy, although interesting, follow that interest on your own time. Good luck finding a job unless you want to teach or work in a museum. no offense to anyone who has or want these degrees.

I am going into mechanical engineering, but that is a lot of complex math. But I have a lot of friends going into finance and marketing. Marketing sounds like it could be good for you. Marketing deals with finding target audiences for products and how to help a company break into a certain segment. It deals with costs and finding what is appealing to people in that segment. It is an interesting job and you will learn a lot of interesting information. Once working things are constantly changing in products and services so marketing changes too.

Good luck with what ever you do
