it depends what kind of food you looking for. when i was living there 3 years ago there was a restaurant called Tony Roma's which is really nice and not too pricey. i forget the name of the road now but it's on same road as The Slip Inn which is near to Darling Harbour. I'd also recommend the Wooloomooloo Hotel in Wooloomooloo which is near Kings Cross and Potts Point.
