It's too close to know. South Africa, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and even England all have the ability to win if all goes right for them. I strongly think so beacause:

Indian team comprises of :

SACHIN TENDULKAR, RAHUL DRAVID, SOURAV GANGULY

Those three are in the list of most premier batsman in the world.

Dont forget, sachin is playing his last world cup!!!! the worlds best batsman playing his last world cup + he holds a great record in the world cup.

All three of them have scored over 10,000 runs in ODI, with over 1200 ODI experience between them. (only team to have such players)

Ok then we have :

YUVRAJ SINGH, MS DHONI, V SEHWAG

These three have the ability to take the game away from the opposition if only 1 of them FIRES! , very destructive and match winners.
I am expecting a lot from Dhoni and Yuvraj in this world cup, watch out for them, these two players are the most mentally tough batsman in our team and you need players like those in a high pressure tournament. These two players loves to perform on big occasions with heroic innings and world cup is the right stage from them.

And how can we forgot Uthapa, the new indian sensation, who knows, he might be the surprise package of the world cup.

Ok now in the bowling department we have:

Zaheer khan, Irfan Pathan, Munaf patel, agarkar, harbhajan, kumble, Sreesanth

Very Experienced, full of talented bowlers like munaf and sreesanth and most importantly harbhajan and kumble, these spinners are gonna play a huge role in the slow wickets of world cup.

To sum up, out of 11 players, we dont have a single bad player in the side. Full of experience and Talent. Isnt it??

Australia still remains the threat, but with their strike bowler Lee out, and with 5 consecutive losses be4 w cup, their moral is low, this definately reduced their chances.

Srilanka is the next big threat, on slow low wickets like they have in their home, they wont be easy to beat, they also have very gud 11 players in the team like india, with jayasurya playing his last w cup.

India would thrash southafrica this time as on slow n low wkts they are a weak side, Ntini pollock nel, wont be that dangerous there + they dont have any gudspinner in their side, which they would miss a lot.

Pakistan is another team india have to look for.
