He has a chance. You'll be surprised at the progressiveness and open-mindedness of the American people. Not too many years ago, a person like Barack Obama would never have been elected senator from a conservative state like Illinois or be considered a candidate for president of the United States like he is at the moment.
Whether he's nominated by his party this time and if he is, whether he'll be elected president is a question only time will answer. But the fact that's he's considered a serious presidential candidate and has garnered quite a bit of popular support already indicates how far we've gone as a nation.
No, he's not a terrorist. He's an American lawmaker (senator) representing one of our largest states, Illinois. A Harvard man, he's married to a woman lawyer and has two children. Much has been played up about his middle name Hussein but it's a common name in his father's native country, Nigeria as well as in many Middle Eastern, Asian and African countries. Senator Obama was raised by his white American mother after his parents divorced and later, by his white American grandparents after his mother's death.
Incidentally, the late King of Jordan and one of our greatest allies was King Hussein, the father of the present King Abdullah. King Hussein was married to an American architect, Lisa Hallaby who became known as Queen Noor of Jordan. "Queen Noor was born Lisa Halaby. She is the daughter of a former CEO of Pan-American World Airways, one time head of the Federal Aviation Administration, and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense...". So, as you can see, not everyone named Hussein is a terrorist!
Senator Obama has also been falsely accused of having gone to a Muslim school, a madrassa. Actually, when he was 6, his mother and stepfather sent him to a public school in Indonesia where they lived at the time. Many sons and daughters of American diplomats and executives who stationed in Indonesia have gone to that same school too!
Senator Obama may or may not be elected President of the United States but he'll always have the respect of many of his fellow Americans, especially the voters of all races in Illinois who have kept sending him back to the senate.

No he won't be elected .
Is he a terrorist? To freedom and the constitution he is.
People need to stop buying the media hype with this guy. He's way too socialist for America.
And to Tom T Illinois isn't a conservative state.. This state is ran by the socialist crook of a mayor from Chicago.

supporting any candidate based on either gender or ethnicity is not only superficial but either sexist or rascist. beyond that you can be certain that the owners of the Federal Reserve have already decided that Clinton, Obama, McCain and Guilliani are all good enough to serve as puppets for them. http://www.freedomtofascism.com

He probably won't win but he sure has MY vote. Take a look at his voting record, it speaks for itself. Obama is only terrorizing the republicans.
