A person is formed in their early yrs. birth-3yrs. You could write about the comparison of foster or day care kids versus kids raised by their mothers, or abused kids versus kids that weren't abused.
Or something as simple as breast feeding. Babies who are nursed have better immune systems; this goes for all species.
There is also the positive/negative affects of bonding and a sense of security in regards to nursing and above.
Traumas or lack of have a profound affect upon development for all species.
