How do I get on a Banca Boat...I'm a bit heavy?

Banca Boats seem dangerous to me but we have a field trip tomorrow in which we have to get on one and I'm heavy so I don't know if I can. They look like this:

Please help, I need to know how to climb onto that safely and without embarassement.

Have the boats operator assist you in boarding the boat. He/she should know the best and safest method.

Well, if you can get in from a dock or just walking out to it in the water, just sit on the dock and step in it from the front or back...
