I've put a white rose on his doorstep as a surprise for him to see.
I'm creating a power point slide show, very indepth, for our 4 year annaversary. It's a history of our relationship.
Show up at his work with a baloon that says "Thank you!" and present it to him. :)
Take him out to dinner at his favourite place.
Ask him over for a drink and think of a very special toast you could share with him.
Write him a poem, if that's your thing.
Sing a love song to him. Make up your own words?
Be a kid. Sit down with some colouring pencils and make him something to stick on the fridge with your message. :)
Give him a long warm embrace when you see him again. Look deep into his eyes and say thank you for being so wonderful.
Tell him you are proud of him, and ya gotta mean it lol

Say. Just say. REALLY. It can be the best thing to do in this situation. Maybe you won't believe me and 'll find some incredible and extraordinary ways to surprise Him, but I'd still tell you. A honest, sincere word "Thanks. Love you, Honey" will be the best for him. According to my own experience

I like to get dressed up for no reason, make a special dinner and stay home watching a movie. He is always surprised when I go through all the effort to get all dressed up, only for his eyes.

i would cook a meal for him with all the trimming, then let him have the remote for the rest of the night, LOL
or maybe wear his fav footie shirt and give him a really relaxing message.
or take him to a show,concert or footie match that he want to see

Nothing would be cooler then my gf/wife giving me a hug after work, kiss, then mabe a really nice dinner.
Im a soft type guy, so just seeing my wife/gf happy will make me happy.

I love it when my wife takes me out to eat at a nice, cozy restaurant. The feeling of just being with her and the fact that she loves me for who I am is great!
