What is sod?

Laying sod can be done at most any time of the year as long as conditions remain fit. Sod is cut fresh prior to its installation on site. If soils are frozen sod cannot be installed due the fact it cannot be cut from the farm. Soil that is overly wet may also pose a problem due to equipment used. We feel your freshly installed sod should work out just fine.

I haven't personally laid out sod, but I've seen it done at all times of the year. Depending on your climate, you should be able to lay it out at any time. The grass growing in it will continue it's normal course, growing when appropriate, and going dormant when conditions require it to.

As long as it's put out properly, and it's watered properly, it shouldn't be an issue.
