Elephant Books in Leeds.
Dark, dusty and freezing but crammed with books that you just can't seem to find anywhere else.

There has been a few of those 'sussex bookshops' open up recently and have proved good value for money. They have best sellers at a cheaper price and always worth a brouse. Look inside your nearest one as the books always seem eye catching, unusual and interesting

My favourite book shop used to be 'Dead Head Comics' in Edinburgh (down Candlemaker Row from Greyfiars Bobby). They now have a website online.
I like buying books from Amazon online as they do have some good books that I had a hard time finding else where.
There are some good small old book shops in Edinburgh all around especially the centre (here's a link for a list of small book stores)....

Book-in-Bar in Montpellier, France (also a branch in Aix-en-Provence) so you can get all the latest English books, plus sit around with coffee or smoothies and read the latest newspapers and magazines as well. Not a bar in the alcoholic sense but very pleasant in a very narrow medieval stone street.
