When I was still living at home with the folks, years ago, I slept with the door closed for privacy. Now, I generally sleep with it open unless my fiance is watching a movie in the living room. Then I'll shut it so the TV doesn't wake me. In winter, the room can get slightly chilly, so leaving it open lets more heat in that way. Also, I have some freakish obsession with being able to see into the rest of the apartment.

Closed, to the point where even if i tell my bf to close the door i have to get up and make sure it's ALL the way shut LOL
that way if something wants to come in the room i will see the door open and hear it move... and you thought i was crazy,
i get tired of laying there staring at the door while i hide under the covers and peek out a little hole, its more comfortable to lay down and wait listening for the sound the door makes. jk?
Our kids sleep in our room due to lack of house space and too many people, so i dont need to leave it open for them.......

If I'm alone open otherwise closed. I can't sleep if I think someone is going to come in my bedroom and watch me sleeping

I sleep with my door open for 2 reasons.My cat needs access to the litter box which is in another room,and I feel claustrophobic with the door closed.

I sleep with the bedroom door closed. I snoar and could wake up anyone. Besides I don't like the cats sleeping on me. -- just answering :)

Open, we have a cat that will scratch on the door until we let him in.
If we close the door with him inside, he'll scratch on the door until we let him out. He cannot tolerate the door being closed.
