A coffee table book about the life and times of Sourav Ganguly will hit the stands on February 22, 2007.
Penned by renowned sports journalist Debashis Dutta, the book contains Sourav's arrival, his rise to supremacy, his ouster and his comeback in the manner befitting the 'Maharaja'.
The book 'Sourav Ganguly--The Maharaja of World Cricket' looks into Ganguly's life from a person who has been close to the cricketer.
With a foreword from Geoffrey Boycott, the book replete with inside stories makes a good cricket reading.
Besides photographs and statistics about Sourav's cricket career, the book also dips into his personal life, especially his relationship with his daughter Sana.
Another biography of former Indin Captain Saurav Ganguly titled "Maharaja', in Malayalam written by K Viswanath, Sub-editor, Mathrubhumi Sports Magazine, was released at a function got up at the nearby Taj Malabar, on March 31, 2006. S K Nair, BCCI Secretary, released the first copy of the book by handing over to Ganguly.
