What would you look for in his/her background to attempt to overcome this so called disadvantage? Since modest rooted presidents (ie clinton) are usually the best bets to relate with "ordinary Americans."

A wealthy candidate in order to be a good president must not be interested in enriching himself while in power. Serve the people and dispense with the family business.
