Since they believe that homosexuality is wrong (and can show you any number of mistranslated verses to prove it) they can not believe that God would create something that he would condemn.
Ergo: gay people must 'choose' their orientation.
What floors me is how so many heterosexuals are suddenly such experts when it comes to human sexuality, and psychology. Check out 'Pop's response. His answer is outdated by at least 25 years.
Fundamental Xtians have decided that they need to shape the world to match what they believe the Bible says. Gone are the days of 'love thy neighbor.' Now it's all about 'pass laws so thy neighbor can't do anything that you might consider to be icky.'

Just a feeling that they are right about something in their lives. The fact is that people are born this way for a reason.
If it is nature trying to keep us from having more than 7 billion people on this planet or "gods" will. We are here and they cant stand the fact they many of them hide how they feel but so many others stand up and say I am more than what other people feel I should be

orientation isn't a decision yet while your orientated to the middle of the size that makes you bisexual and for this reason you do have a decision wherein urges you act on. the gay or the rapidly yet in simple terms when you consider which you forget approximately your gay area , that doesnt advise it is going to forget approximately you. assume the urge to act on it to get extra insistant in the path of the years to the place this is irrisitable. you're extra suited off exploring it now just to work out in case you like it , and how plenty. you dont opt for a spouse and young little ones while the gay wave hits you. make up your strategies with each and all of the info till now you commit to any determination

Nothing at all. The powers of bigotry want to inflict their warped view of the world on the rest of us.
For many years I went through all the motions of trying to ‘choose’ NOT to be gay. I prayed, I swore on bibles, I quoted scripture, I damned myself for my dreams, I dated females, and finally I married. (and eventually divorced)
‘Choice’ didn't work so well for me.

They win a self delusion that they are right and everyone who doesn't agree with them is wrong no matter what evidence, facts, or arguments that is presented to the contrary.

Nothing...but apparently they have nothing else to do :)
Steve Gunderson, first openly gay Republican congressman:
"...the worst thing that happened to the gay community was the fall of communism...As long as the conservative movement had communism to fight, they could organize and raise their money over that issue. The minute they lost communism, they had to find a new enemy, and that enemy became homosexuality."
