I know Helen Mirren is one, but here is a link that tells you everybody who won an Ocsar this year and what for.

Helen Mirren got an Oscar for her role as Queen Elizabeth. Not sure if any other Brits picked up an Oscar.
Isn't it time for the way in which Oscar nominees and winners are chosen is changed? Public participation by text or e-mail voting would make it more realistic I think. People would need to have seen the movie first and pick up a 'tag' number with their movie theatre ticket and use that number when voting.
