Its important to have time management. Distractions are always gonna be there. You have to stay focused & know what u want. Once u have a goal, like an ambition, work towards that. If u want something badly, U'll go all out to achieve it.You could also come up with a time table; which helps u get in order. I'm sure ur a bright person. Just remember, only u can help urself! :)

Hey Lana. You are not destroying your life, your being a little dramatic here. You've contradicted yourself by asking for help and saying you don't care about this. If you fail or don't hand in your 2 essays that are due, your world will not end. Your in the top of your classes right, so relax! It's 4am and I'm assuming you've been awake doing something important.

You could stop procrastinating by calming down first. Get a perspective on what you're doing. If you need help with your essays then, you could ask another question about your topic for some advice. There's a lot of helpful people here and that might help you relax.

You need sleep. Go to sleep. Lana, you are making your situation worse if you stay up and deprive yourself of a basic human need. You could be complaining all day, well later, that you didn't get any sleep and wreck yourself with guilt. Go to sleep Lana. Rest, wake up and deal with your day as it happens.

Good night my friend. :) Sleep well.

I have been through a similar situation. Please read the following book. It helped me a lot and I am sure it can do a lot for you too. If you cant effort to buy this book, please ask your parents or someone to get it for you. This is really a very very good book, even for adults. Just type the name of the book and author name in Yahoo or Google search and you can find some info.

Book title: Stop Postponing Your Life (How to live without procrastination)
Author: M. Susan Roberts, PH.D
Original Publisher: New Harbinger Publication, Inc.

Very carefully...one day at a time.
Try making a list of things to do and check something off each day. Eventually, you may get into a good habit of not putting things off.

I'm terrible with getting things done on time because I wait until the last minute. It's been hard for me to try and change that pattern, but I am making progress.

Good Luck!

I can relate to that...in my case, it was depression. I still fight that feeling every day, at times, it is better, at times, i feel I am going back into procrastination. Its not a good feeling at all. Some people perform well under that kind of pressure but you are obviously not comfortable with the situation. Good luck.

all you need is to schedule everything. it might be bit awkward at first but all you need is to follow that. set your goals and what you need to finish or attain on certain point. AM once on that kind of situation so what i did is i set what i need to finish for a certain date, little by little i was able to do it. so start it right now, and don't procrastinate.. hehehe!

There is a great difference between procrastination and plain laziness. Identify your problem first. It sounds like you are lazy and just want to sleep all day. Help yourself, we cannot.
