I recently had to stop jogging as I sustained a stress fracture in one of the tiny bones in my foot. I know that I perhaps slap my feet on the ground too hard, but can anyone tell me what the best way to run is???

I saw a programme last year, where doctors said that jogging can be worse for some people, because the cartilages between the joints can be worn away, causing pain in later life as well as knee or hip replacements, so be careful eh?

Wearing the right footware should give you adquet protection.
That would be a good start. I think technique will probably come through trial and hopefully not too much error in finding a style that allows you to place your foot rather than slap it down

i used to never run on roads....and get some good trainers that have cushion air to prevent any shock injuries...if you run and bang yr foot flat down that cd cause problems....only the front part touches the grd when running so this seems unlikely..
