If I buy a cell phone in China will it work in the US?

it depends on the type of network the phone suppourt but most of the phones can do it

Generally speaking most phones outside of US will work here and not necessarily the reverse if true. The international phones work on more than one band.

Anyway, what you would do is if you plan to buy a certain phone to see if it has its counterpart in the US. Also, phones from different companies may have different features. I know one phone has a memory slot in it and the other phone company you would get the same phone with the memory card slot.

Then you would have to have the phone unlocked if you try to use it on a different carrier. So if you buy the phone from a cell phone company there and then it is locked, you are screwed then. You need the code to use it on another cell phone line or cell phone company line.

China's product are great because they can work almost everywhere. They don't have limitations. I bought 2 phones in China and I could use them in France and Germany. So I guess it will work in the States.

It is the same with PSP or PS2. I know that they support game from the whole world. Zones don't mather.

if u buy a cell phone "instrument" in china it will definately work anywhere in the world.
but if u buy a cellphone instrument with a sim card, the sim card "may" work in america or it "may not" work in america if it does not have network there.

check with your cellphone provider first and see what they think..
