I want to know a word similar to dork or stupid.
When you read it backwards it sounds like a terd, but
it is just pronounciation and I don't know the spelling.
So I guess it start with D but I'm not too sure,
can anybody know what the word is?

You already have some good answers, and mine does not meet your requirement of sounding like "terd" when it is read backwards, but I have always had an affinity for "jackass." It is explicit, though I have to admit that calling some idiots that really denigrates the animal kingdom.
