Another question from me...im taking a baby boy for an adoption and its the Home policy that the boy's mother will hand over the baby to us herself....is this advisable?

It's fine that she is giving you the baby, but make sure you don't let her come to your home. If someone else took the baby and then gave him to you, she will feel like he was taken from her, but if she gives him to you then she feels it was her decision. Just don't draw the process out.
I adopted my son when he was 10 days old. We don't know anything about his birth mother and she never met us.

It is probably fine - they just want to make sure that the mother is truly willing to give her baby for adoption. You should have a social worker present at the time the baby is handed to you, so they can have it in their records :)

I think so. They probably want to ensure the mother is giving up the baby of her own freen will and she'll probably have to legally sign over her rights at this time.

Advisable or not-- it's the policy. Enjoy the little guy! Congratulations!!!
