No! As humans we have self-control, we can turn off the tv when an advert comes on or simply choose not to buy the food. Also a parent is a parent, they have the right to decide that they are only going to buy their children fast-food once a week or whatever and the child needs to learn to respect their parent, if the parent bows to the childs wishes, they are setting a bad precedent and the child will expect them to do what they ask all the time. It's a simple decision of being self-controlled.

I don't believe so. People will eat fast food whether it's advertised or not.

With regards to children eating it, it's generally bad parential influence, i.e. eating junk food themselves. Afterall, parents are the house role models. Good eating habits and exercise comes from watching the family do the same.

Yes, there will always be external pressures - adverts, pier pressure, but as long as good healthy food is served when a child comes home. They're on a good path.

I am curious as to the only in the US comment. UK and Ireland are catching up fast and for the first time in a very long time average age expectancy has dropped in UK and Ireland with approx 25% teenagers over weight.

I examine all the solutions above and discover various the factors exciting. I agree it would be mum and dad' accountability to be certain their babies are healthful. Banning rapid food won't artwork because it would in all danger be seen as no longer criminal. If mum and dad think of rapid food is the offender, they might take the stairs to shrink the intake. I additionally think of that youngsters comprehend in the event that they're fat and to stay that way. mum and dad could make the hardship to comprehend their babies and help them advance of course. From my own own journey, i grow to be an extremely fat youngster. i grow to be 250 by 5th grade, 350 by 9th grade and over 450 whilst i finished severe college. My weight loss plan infrequently ever secure rapid meals and my mum and dad consistently had solid food for us. I consistently desire to consume and that i comprehend I ate and nevertheless do consume lots. i grow to be consistently a fat newborn and an extremely fat teen. I enjoyed being that way. of course I dealt with different babies making exciting of me - notably whilst my length made it greater durable to play or do activities. My PE instructors might help yet they might additionally tell i grow to be happy and can attempt. severe college made for exciting scenes notably once I had to have chairs at school quite of the mixed table/chair instruments. i does no longer commerce being fat back. I nevertheless am fat - very lots so at 620. If the babies are fat, nicely adjusted and happy, in line with danger they desire to be that way.

No. I don't believe in banning such things from our television. People have a right to make up their own minds and choose what they want to eat. That's what freedom is all about. It's their own fault if they eat McDonald's everyday and wonder why they are fat and unhealthy.

No - stop trying to nanny everyone. We have a right to make choices about what we eat. A MaccyD's once in a while never killed anyone, its eating junk every day thats dangerous.

People are not marched into these placed and forced at gun point to eat junk! People need to take responsibility for their own actions instead of crying about how these big nasty business make them do it!

No. People have to make up their own minds. Life is about choices. Don't blame fast food commercials because you are overweight or have health problems. Take responsibility for your actions too.
