Alright my girlfriend was having heavy cramping so she thought she might be pregnant... She was on the pill for a year, then she stopped for a week (i didnt know :@), then she went back on it, and later that week, we had sex again (she started again mid-cycle). The day her period WOULD have been, was when the cramping started, then that night she bled a little.

That was 2 days ago. Now, she is having heavy bleeding, and pretty bad cramps still... it's only been like a week and a half to 2 weeks since we had sex... How probable is it that she is pregnant?

What else could it be?

I'm only 18 and she is 17... so I hope to GOD it is not pregnancy

We had sex the week she went BACK ON the pill... and doesn't it USUALLY take a month or 2 to start ovulating again after that? and wouldn't 2 weeks after be too soon to show symptoms of pregnancy?

There are several things that it could be, but the fact that she stopped taking the pill, then started again doesn't help. What she needs to do is wait until she gets her period, then start a new pill pack the sunday after her period starts. This will get her back on track with the pills.
As far as the cramping- bc pills trick the body into thinking its pregnant by elevating the hormone levels. If the pill is stopped, the hormone levels drop, causing the body to have a period. If she started the pills again before she got her period, her body is totally confused right now. The crams were probably signs that her body was about to start menstruating.
Of course there is a chance she is pregnant, especially if you had sex during the time she was not taking the pill. Wait a few weeks, have her take a pregnancy test, and start a new pack of pills if it is negative.
I hope this helps!

if she is bleeding then she is not pregnant. the heavy bleeding counts for the skip of intake of the pill. the cramps might be because of the sudden heavy bleeding. it would be better if she sees a doctor to help her schedule her pill intake and to see if there are problems.
