Unfortunately we can't all "have fun" simultaniously. Even though some of us are in a good mood, without a care, some are having problems of their own and have serious trivialities to sort out. This is a place to have fun, find an answer, but mostly learn. Surely when you have a serious problem or question there will be a joker posting a ridiculously funny question. And someone will give an answer to your question you'll find insensitive and arrogant. As to why the ratio tips over to the more serious people, I might have already answered your question.

I just read a three paragraph rant from some guy that was bitchin about how some people shouldn't be answering questions when they don't have the right answers. Which I agree with. But, if this causes certain people so much grief, maybe it's time for them to log off. Oh crap, I'm ranting. Sorry.

Because the site isn't suppose to be too much fun. It's all about people finding a question to their answer. Plus sometimes too much fun can get you in trouble

yahoo answers is a good place to ask a question and get an answer
there are a lot of people who have fun but are not helping the person with the question
