Well, I have a sort of heavy discharge. So I'm starting to think that I should wear pantyliners, but I have PE and basketball practice everyday and it would be really embarassing if my friends saw the pantyliners in my undies while I was changing. What should I do? Oh and how am I supposed to ask my mom about buying panty liners?

Well, you're mother is a woman herself, so she would understand more than you might think. Just simply state it as you feel it. Say something like, "Mom, I've been feeling a little uncomfortable lately and would feel a lot better if..."

As for feeling embarrassed by wearing them, rest assured no one can tell from the outside that you're wearing anything. When it's time to change, find a toilet stall and dispose of it, then change for your shower. Once the shower is done, dress and head back to the stall to line a new one. You could also change in the toilet stall instead.

Also, if the discharge is unusually odorous, extremely heavy or colorful you might want to bring that up to mom as well, so you can have to checked out by your doctor - just in case.

Good luck!

Wearing a panty liner is pretty discrete, and no one will see it unless they are looking for it. As far as asking your mom, just explain to her the exact way you explained on here. If you aren't comfortable talking face to face, try writing her a note. I hope this helps!

i think its actually ok...theres nothing embarassing to it. of course you should wear pantyliners. cover your waist with a towel if you will, so they don't see the flaps on your undies. just ask your mom directly, she should be able to understand since all girls undergo menstruation. you might even get tips from her regarding leaks...you know what that means.

hope that helps!

first of all I would ask my mom for the small discreet kind. Not to worry many girls use them for their period. If the discharge continues you might need to see a doctor.

Go in the toilet stall, and remove the liner. Then go out and change. Or just change in the stall.

Buy them yourself.
