2 weeks early is not premature! My little girl was born 3 weeks early and she's not even classified as premie. 2 weeks b4 and 2 weeks after the due date is normal!
Congrats and good on you for adopting this little boy i think thats fantastic that someone is willing to give him a loving home .. If the home has done a check then i think he'll be fine.

Since he was born only 2 weeks early, he isn't considered a preemie...he's actually considered full-term. He shouldn't have any medical complications or health problems due to being born 2 weeks early. If he has any health problems, they're more likely caused by something else.
My daughter was born 12 1/2 weeks early (at 27 weeks) and she's now 13 months old and doing AMAZING. So the little boy you're adopting should be just fine!
I also want to say that I think it's so awesome that you're adopting...I would LOVE to adopt a child someday, and we're hoping that we're able to!
Good Luck!

the baby should be in good condition. 2 weeks premature is no big deal he just came a little early. If he is not on any medications, and is not on a breathing machine and his weight is good than there should be no problems. Have the doctor check the baby before you adopt to make sure he is clear mentally, and physically. Congradulations and Good Luck.

Two weeks early is not premature! Though the due date is at 40 weeks, a baby is considered full term by 37 weeks when the lungs are mature. Your baby is perfectly fine :)

If you want to get technical then two weeks early is still classed as to term. My bub was two weeks early and the only problem I had was that he was lazy at feeds, this passed by two week old and now he cant get it fast enough! So just relax and enjoy this wonderful experience.

If doctors said there is not a problem with your baby so there probably won't be . But if he needs medical care he should stay at hospital for a while .

he may be more prone to breathing problems or getting sick. but I wouldn't be over worried about it (although it is hard not to) just remember most preemie babies develop along the same lines as if they were at their due date birth. Ex: my cousin has a preemie baby and she is 13 months and she is just now learning how to walk and pull up but she was 2 months early so she is at 11 months or slower. She is a special case though (long story)
