It's Feb 26 and we're still discussing Valentine's Day at work.
The guy I like didn't give me anything but a hug for Val Day, but that's exactly all I wanted. And I'm not complaining because I felt the love in the hug. Some old girl at work is teasing me that she's his Valentine...but she's not. I flipped around and asked him "Well why didn't you get me anything for Valentine's Day?" ---
even though he knew I didn't want anything. He said ... "But you are my Valentine!" Then he walked behind the counter where I work and gave me a hug.

Here's the question...
How much stock would you put in the comment
"But you are my Valentine!".
Then he went on to tell me how to stand up to her yacking mouth.
He said to tell her a REAL WOMAN didn't have to brag.
And he told her that I knew what up between us.
Right! Like I know. I'm asking ppl on Y/A.

So is he really my Valentine and was all that his way to say he likes me? What about the real woman comment?

I forgot to tell you all...I'm the type who doesn't accept gifts. I was teasing him about why he didn't get me anything. He knows I don't like people with their hand out. Eveyone who knows me knows nothing I want can be bought with money.

My wants include being out of physical pain, being able to release a record, having help when I need it.

He defffinately likes you cause not just any guy will come up and hug you unless he wants to touch you in some way (&& i dont mean sexually, just touch)) &&& he really is your valentine.

He sounds like a good guy and i hope things work out
:]

No real woman commenting yet... Well let a man do some comment then.

The guy may and may not like you. It's confusing but yeah. But there's also another possibility, he's not the type to spend on women. "But you are my Valentine!" and yet no gifts? Maybe valentine is not his thing.

But he did well as a friend though. :)

this guy sounds like a keeper...a romantic with a sense of humor!

give him some time, it sounds like he sincerely likes you.

he may have been strapped for cash.

you should give him a march calendar with "march" crossed out and re-labelled "february". then mark all the days "14".

i bet you a dollar that he will smile.

have a nice day!

He is right....she is probably feeling a bit resentful because you are so happy...I wouldn't let it bother me....any of it...Show her you're better by continuing with your great relationship and show her everyday when you come into work with big smiles on your face....

He probably digs you, but be forewarned, office romances usually never work out.
