i bought my laptop at bestbuy 110-240v ....been using my laptop here for 6 months...plugged staright. no adapter...if your'e just traavelling --- 2 weeks or so, no need to buy adapter. i think the reason they made the voltage 110-240 is because people with notebooks usually use it when they travel.
i would advice only to buy transformer for other stuffs. but my notebook, dont use it. i have a hair flat iron that is 110-240v too.

Your charger should be enough, just buy an adaptor because the outlets/sockets in the Philippines are usually shaped differently from those in the United States. Buying a transformer would mean that you will have to lug an extra weight wherever you go, and that can be very inconvenient if you don't have a car. A transformer can be really heavy, as you probably already know.

I agree with RottenDog, it would be best to buy a universal power surge so that you can use other 110v electronic devices here. A wall adapter for the outlets here are a must as well; most wall sockets are in the Philippines are in this shape--> =
The adapters aren't expensive; you can buy one here at a hardware at a mall for 30-50 pesos, which is 1US$ or less.

The charger should handle the voltage, but you'll need an adapter to fit the wall outlet.
If i were you, I'd get a transformer anyways, so you can use other 120 volt stuff there.

Your charger is enough for power supply but you need to buy a universal plug adapter that fits into 2-holes.
