i really don't know what it is....what are the differences between them. please help and explain

philosophy is basically the study of or the act of trying to solve the mysteries of life by way of logical thought. Problems like should abortion be legal, do the rich have an obligation to help the poor, should violent pornography be legal.

Basically any time you are arguing with someone about something that is philosophy. Studying philosophy means learning how to do that better.

Philosophy concerns itself with what is the best way to live (ethics), what sorts of things really exist and what are their true natures (metaphysics), what is to count as genuine knowledge (epistemology), and what are the correct principles of reasoning (logic).

Philosophy is the fascinating territory between theology & science. It is the art of thinking about thinking, of examining the meaning of life & all things. It provides myriad theories & no clear answers. It is not like mathematics. No black or white. It is all grey area and each shade of grey will swear that it is the truth.
