That means it needs a driver. Your printer should come with a disk that contains the file.
Bring your computer to the place where you bought the printer and ask the guys there to install it for you. Some techies are so good with these things that they can practically do it in their sleep.
or simply load the disk that came with it into your cd rom and turn off and on the computer. The first thing to look for is the "new hardware detected". The newer printers usually are self installing and look around for its own driver and installation protocol found in the disk..

OK. if nothing is working. you should have got the manual that came with it. in their should be a phone no. that is a help line. call that and they will help u do step by step
