Sometimes, then I remember how it used to pop out of gear on the highway and how the engine would die when I would break for a light and how I had to disconnect the speedometer because it made a horrible noise.
But it was kind of cute....

ahh, my first car....
the piece of sh!t caught on fire on the side of the freeway next to a historic northern california landmark on superbowl sunday 8 years, after an afternoon/evening/night of drinking.
After I slept the liquor off a little, I made my way home, I saw sparks so I pulled off the freeway, right onto another freeway (I wasn't thinking straight). Right next to a historical forest in N. california. I thought I was going to burn down the whole forest.
On top of that, when I bought the car, I went with a cheap insurance company, and they did not want to pay because they claimed that they received the payment late. Even though I sent the payment in way before the fire, weeks had gone by before they finally said they had the payment. I was young, I couldn't prove the insurance company screwed me over, so, now I know never to go cheap.

Yes. A '74 VW Bug. Black with authentic 70's orange seats. The lack of power steering was a bear though!
