I am not talking about the physical or emotional things that we share, I am talking about the intellectual, aka, IDEAS.

If no, then does religion have a dead end?

It is not only possible but it will become increasingly necessary. Some common ground intellectual ideas that we must share are these:

Men and women should be considered equal in terms of rights, privileges and opportunities.
That the world is just one country and mankind it's citizen.
All prejudices should be abandoned. National, religious, ethnic, of social class, etc..
That we should abandon blind beliefs based on superstitions and traditions inherited from the past.
That we have to work for world unity if we want it some day.

Whether possible or not , it is ceratinly desireable.. It is only with this desire that we can start to act to make it possible.

The world is too divided intellectually, economically, religiously and resourcewise. It is this division that is keeping the mankind apart for fear of survival.

I feel that if a commom thread amonsgt these divisive factors can be weaved we can one step nearer to a common ground. I believe that the common factor is "knowing Oneself" If we understand ourselves , that richness , intellect , religion are all not born with us and have been acquired enroute we will know we are all one in our consciousness/awareness. This individual and collective consciousness can transform the world gradually.

there are certain people who have good intellectual capacities and are interested in using them. I would imagine they could come to some agreement.

But then there are others who are not so interested in thinking - i suspect there will always be people like that.

I think we can come to agreement among the thinkers, but we might have to let the others take their time in exploring all the crazy things they are into...

Intellectually, no. The only thing we will ever experience in common is what we are in our essence, when we become aware of that, which is why we are here.

No. We are different. We are not all equal intellectually. We can not possibly all agree.

ANYTHING is possible. This, sadly, is just highly improbable.
