If you have watched the hong kong version of that movie - "Internal affair", u will think Internal affair is 1 million times better than "The departed".

I totally argee with you, Infernal Affair is much more better than The departed.
The storyline is much more strong in the HongKong version. The actor in The Departed is also acted good except Mark Wahberg. In my view, the most disastrous is the director. He totally change the movie from an excellent movie to a standard Hollywood movie. However, it is extremely ironic that it won the best director and the nominate for the supporting actor.
The departed not deserve to win an Oscar, but the infernal affair deserved.

I think The Departed is just one of the kind movie. It's so hot maybe due to the "stars" in the film and the popularity created by "cretain" people! Nonetheless, I do agree with you. Infernal affair is a much better movie. Perhaps the best of all times (in the HK movie industry)

no it shouldn't have, basically cause its a version to another movie, so its already been done before, why are we honoring movies that where just copied? totally undeserving.
