The xray result showed that i had a "craccked/fractured" left hip pelvic bone/joint due to car accident. I cant/hardly walk, no antibiotics given jst pain reliever. (Our public general hosp isn't good and even the Dr. who treated me is just young & new). I cant afford private Dr / clinic. Cant have recheckup since i cant hardly walk, family members busy... Any helps, advises, tips, treatment, or remedies regarding this home confinement? PLEASE???

Whar are DO's & DONT'S?..???
Thanks & God Bless...

First, you need to follow up with an orthopaedic surgeon. You will need to make an appointment and take copies of the xrays that were done at the hospital for him to review. Also, you should have been given a referral by the ER to the orthopaedic doc who was on call the day you went to the ER. If they didn't give you that info, you need to call the ER tomorrow and get that doc's name and call and make your appt immediately. That doc is obligated to see you because he was on call. Most offices will help make financial arrangements with you so you can make payments and get the care you need.

I can't advise you on the walking etc. because you aren't specific as to which bone you broke. Get a copy of your xray report from the hospital when you pick up copies of your films for the doctor. That will tell you exactly what you broke. Pain meds are standard for a fracture. Antibiotics wouldn't have done you any good. They are for infection, not fractures.

I I had a similar breakage from a mining accident, I laid in traction for two months. At least you're on line and most likely have a TV. Just lay back and take a break, resign yourself that you're stuck for a while. I was back to work in 7 and a half months, later you will need therapy , and I had to take muscle relaxing med's. Hears the best to you. Things could be worse, a friend of mine has be in a coma for about four months for injuries he received in a car wreak.
