Uh, no. In a league of parity, if you don't make the playoffs you're definitely nowhere near great. I wouldn't start having wet dreams about Cutler either. Shanahan is a running guy and they don't have a solid RB. The Bell's don't qualify. It would have been nice to see Nash get a chance, but I guess you've heard the bad news. I see the Broncos being a bit mediocre for some time. They do have a great home field advantage which is usually good for at least six out of eight.

Yes they were a great team but just didn't perform to their best abilities. Some might argue that this means they were not great, greatness only comes with performance.

They have almost all the pieces of the puzzle and only need to make a couple key moves in ordr to play at that extremely high level again next year. Hall of Famers like Champ, Lynch, Rod Smith played well. Pro Bowler Javon Walker played well too. The Broncos had a 1000 yeard rusher and continued their streak of them.

The problems were mostly injuries, bad luck and teams figuring out their defensive schemes. They blew at least 4 4th quarter leads against great team like Indy, San Diego and Seattle.

So I do still say they were a great team last year but will display their greatness better in the 2007 season.

Not great. As a Broncos fan myself, I was dissapointed in this past year. However, I feel that the Broncos are only 2-3 years away from returning to greatness on the abilities of Jay Cutler.

On Paper the broncos looked like they should have lost to the colts in the AFC championship game... They had Jake Plummer who is an above average QB and they Hall of famers Champ Bailey, Rod Smith, John Lynch and many others... lets not forget a soon to be great Javon Walker...

Realistically Broncos have an old team... John Lynch isn't as fast as he used to be neither is Rod Smith... Champ Bailey can't do it all by himself, And Darrent Williams was finally stepping up... Jake Plummer can't do much if his Offensive Line can't slow down the pressure... Jay Cutler was definantly not ready to be thrown out into a starting spot... And a receiver is only as good as the QB throwing him the ball

In conclusion the broncos should've been in playoffs but i wasn't phased when they faild to make it

No, Bronco Fan Seeking Validation, they were not a great team. They were good, they're always good, but greatness left with Sir Elway.

No, they were not a great team. They were a good team. I was surprised they stayed in the playoff race, especially after they switched to Cutler. To lose the final game of the season and to miss the playoffs was very disappointing, though.

No. They haven't been "great" since Elway retired.
