Cinderella (got tagged as a hair metal band but they were more than that. Great bluesy rock band)
Deep Purple's Mk 3 era with David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes. Burn was one of the best Purple albums and the live album Made in Europe was great too!

Robin Thicke. He's been around for a while and hasn't gained much recognition until recently.
I think his music is great. He's even written music for other famous artists.
