Picture this: It is freezing cold outside and you see people outside dressed up with blinged out watches, bracelets, and chains. On top of that, they probably have fresh Nike airs and Timberland Boots, blue sean John jeans, and a fresh white Southpole longsleeve. Yes, I know, it is rare!!! I'm from a state, where in the fall we rock boots and in the winter we rock boots. It doesn't matter what kind; we are cold. And if you ain't wearing sweatpants or sweatshirts; you are going to be cold more. In the snow, we don't need fresh clothes like we're in the summer, don't you think??? Just buy some affordable sweaters, boots, undershirts, gloves, sweat pants, hats, and coats; right from Forman Mills or Value City or various flea markets; thats how I do it. I have found clothes there that lasts for years ever since I was in Middle School. That's all you need for the winter. But if you have to work at factories or warehouses; then baggy tool jeans might be good for you and longjohns.

Well some people care about the way they dress over the weather. And some people can tolerate the cold than others. Somehow people feel good about getting namebrand clothing because of the designer or that it's cool. I know guys who think it's lame to wear a thick heavy coat for some reason, I know it sounds crazy. Also they probably don't care about spending their money as much as you- you know you could go to stores like Marshalls and buy namebrand clothes for a reasonable price.

Lol you are funny but actually you can dress well in the winter as well. The style you mentioned did not suit winter climate. Look at Ne-Yo or even Diddy--they dress currently and their style goes with the weather. Where are you from?? Apparently an urban area where its cold! haha ok...

It is good you are not hung up on material things though. Many guys I know especially the guys who dress in urban attire, tend to be very conscious about what labels they rock. Of course the older you get the less it matters but you still want to look good. At the end of the day, the name brand does not make the man. If you look good wearing something cheap or expensive should not matter as long as the person wearing the clothes has the swagger the clothes don't matter.

And yeah you are right about one thing...It is too cold outside to rock Nike Airs and crisp tees! Lol, its freezing outside--people need to do their best to stay warm not icy with bling. Some people got it all wrong which is why I can't stand some people complaining they don't have money to do things they NEED to do because they too busy wasting money on grills and ice! UGH!

I can understand what you mean but I actually feel the opposite about winter clothes. I think its the cold weather clothes that really show the difference in quality. In summer, a t shirt and flip flops from wal mart pretty much look like a t shirt and flip flops that are ralph lauren or nautica or tommy hilfiger. But a cheap sweater looks very different from a cashmere one. Winter is when all the good fabrics come out! Wool and leather and suede..yum! I cant stand to spend $$ on clothes I'll just be hot and sweaty in in the summer. So while youre hitting up the bargain shops in the winter, I'll take over for you in the summer!

Sounds like you already have your mind made up.
I like to mix thrift store/ flea market clothes with a few choice designer/name brand pieces, like a nice jacket & shoes. I think that keeps it "fresh" no matter what the season, or your budget.
