You don't say how long it needs to be but, I will try some ideas for you to work with.:I would like to go to Japan so I can learn about them.. I want to know their language, their customs, how they earn their money. I want to know what a school day is.How old they are when they start school and how high their grades go. If they have extra curriculum activities. I want to learn their food and how they prepare them. I would like to know how they do their shopping. How they dress. What their church or religious believes are. The expenses of living their. Like food, gas, housing. Do they have goverment programs that help the needy. CAnt think of any more, have to get to bed it is 2 am. Night. Good luck.

The way of living such as their culture, their technology, food, history, etc. Just get busy with looking online about other geography locations about Japan. History of Japan. That's easy to do & look up & ya can read & write what ya feel is important or impressive. Try global directory

you could always go to japan and see if the rumors are true, that they do edit their textbooks to "forget" that they bombed pearl harbor and started bringing the US into the war, or if they apologize in the books for the war atrocities commited against the chinese. Stuff like that. Or you could go the cheap route and talk about how cool it'd be to have fresh sushi, see people walking around in traditional clothing, or having to take your shoes off to enter a restaurant.

Try this: The shrines in the major cities but if you want to really tug at the baby boomer teacher's heart strings, tel him/her that you want to visit the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and fully research the devastation of the bombs from WWII.
Next time, start your essays earlier!!!
P/S hope it ain't an early class!

This is easy.
1. Underground street drift racing ran by gangs of teenagers who are in high school.
2. Their crazy gadgets and tv shows.
3. Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

I would totally go to Japan just so I could stay in one of those little tubes they rent as hotel "rooms." (Do a Google search for "Japan tube hotel")
I might also go to investigate why Michael Jackson is still so danged popular there.
