From the way people in the street react?
Do you think if I go to a shop or any place they would treat me for what my religion is?

Smutty you amaze me sometimes that u do have brains thats great .
Though am not Lebanese but I have read about Lebanon history and politics, I believe civil war will only happen if US and Iran decided that because basically the opposition is supported from Iran and they are fighting the Israel on behalf of Iran and Syria and the Americans are fighting Iran through the Lebanese government.
So bottom line is if the USA, Syria and Iran stopped interfering.
And from here I call all Lebanese to start thinking about their heads instead of their ethnic background because Lebanon is the best country in the world only if left alone away from all evil interference.

nuna please..take it easy... fadi only wants to know, and has the right to it.
Fadi...you'll not find all over the world nicer people than lebanese people. Dont think about religion.. think only about a nationality.
I dont live in Lebanon, but each time I go there , it is harder for me to come back to south america, because Lebanon is in my heart, and my roots are there.
Be sure that you'll feel as in your own house, and lebanese people will made as much as they can for that.
About a civil war........no, I dont think so...things are becoming more normal each day.

I have never witnessed any wars amongst christian lebanese and muslim.
The only ones that ever really have a history of fighting are Shia muslims against sunni muslims, and of course Jews and Palestinians. I dont know why really but ever since I was younger my parents refused any man who was shia muslim because of the history I dont really know about it but I do remember shia muslims were on killing sprees in the past, and without being racist, from my experience they do tend to be pretty ruthless about blood and killing and their morals are not really to my standard. The other thing I dont like very much is the fact they can marry girls just to sleep with them without anything formal which I think is really wrong. I mean they could marry like 5 girls in a night, and dump them the next day, how wrong is that!?! And also I do not believe in the Self-harm thing, I mean whichever religion that tells you to make yourself bleed has gotta be quite twisted to follow it, did anyone watch the Da Vinci Code?! that was soooo grossss eeew!
Of course the palestinian-jew thing, as you all know they fight because of land not religion.
please do not misunderstand, I do respect other peoples religion, but it doesnt mean I have to agree with it, you asked for my opinion and you got it, no disrespect to anyone ok!

No, people are still people here too...they treat everyone the same.
Look, I've been to many "civilised" places in the world and they descriminate more than they do in Lebanon.
No civil wars will happen...I hope.... :)
