Do people who like sports events generally hate awards shows? Athletes or actors--Don't they both behave badly and get paid too much?

I like both. With sports, I like the action that is always happening. It's much more active what they are doing and more exciting to watch. Especially the Stanley Cup. With award shows, I like seeing all the stars in one place and their dresses. It is rather too tame for me, but sometimes there is good music and it is rather enjoyable to see the movies/music that I like win awards.

Some "people" behave badly and are paid too much. Not just athletes or actors. Some "people" are very nice.

i take the stanley cup over awards because they don't excite me, they are boring,in sports at least the person is moving and fast pace.

All those people are overpaid, too full of themselves, and create award shows so that they can get dressed up and create a whole new industry (People ragazine, E! channel) to give them even more exposure. Phuck them all.
