Alot of these awards shows are crap anyway. It doesn't matter. All the makeup and fame can't change how ugly that girl is. She made it to the finals on American Idol's worst year. I don't think any good singers came out of that group.

GRR, just because Jennifer Hudson did not win american idol it does not make her a reject.
The american idol simply measured who was near a phone during the voting.
Granted, I thought her personality was horrible but there is no dispute that she can sing.
But lets face it 'american idol is not just about singing'!
Clearly the majority of people did not agree with you in the voting, regarding the Oscar winner so why does that somehow prove your case that the OSCAR is a farce.
Would it be legit if they had not have given her the award. Monolithic thinkers are always funny to me in a pitiful sort of way.
sounds like the two of you have alot more in common than you think.
She too thought her opinions were superior to everyone elses and it is clear you suffer from that same delusion too!
Be happy for her, your silly comments reflect badly upon you and your parents.
Geez

Are you kidding? The Oscars have been guilty of even greater sins for many years long since having tarnished the award:
1990 Dances with Wolves beats out Goodfellas for Best Picture.
1998 Shakespeare in Love beats Saving Private Ryan for BP.
1976 Rocky beats out Taxi Driver for BP.
The inferior Forrest Gump, Braveheart, Titanic, American Beauty, and Chicago all win for Best Picture.
Classic Films not even nominated for a BP Oscar in the years of their release: The Last Detail, Serpico, Blade Runner, Miller's Crossing, Leaving Las Vegas, The Usual Suspects, Memento, Mullholland Drive, Adaptation, etc...
And, last but not least, Crash completely, undeservingly winning last year for BP, something that I have yet to get over.

Why are so many people b*****ing about her winning? American Idol is a popularity contest. The most talented hardly ever wins - it's all about who has the most people jamming the phone lines. Apparently, a lot of people who make movies for a living think that she did a great job. Just because she's new to acting doesn't mean she's not good at it.

It will not hurt it any more than the award they gave to Renee Zellweger after she whined about being snubbed for Chicago, or the one to Mira Sorvino or Gwynneth Paltrow (a bad choice imo for best actress). Best supporting actress has always been flukey. I did not see Dreamgirls, but I heard Hudson was wonderful. It shouldn't matter how she got her notariety, only that she was found worthy for her performance. Saying an Idol contestant shouldn't win is just stupid.

Could you give an Oscar winning performance? She did something to catch the Academy's eyes did she not. Beyonce didn't even get nominated. Be happy for her and every thing that she has accomplished. She was voted off of American Idol, big deal. That shouldn't be her shining light for the rest of her life. She deserved. I wanna see you do it.

I had a feeling she was going to win the minute I saw George Clooney on stage, because he also presented her Golden Globe award for the same category. I haven't seen DG, but I'm happy for her.

It sounds to me that you are jealous that she is in HOLLYWOOD dancing at a party and celebrating her award while you are on here crying about it on yahoo answers....
LMAO
lets see, if I had a choice I would rather be her than you ANYDAY and think that anyone who answered here would agree.
YOu dont have to like her to be happy for her.
you dont have to even be happy for her but to say that her win proves a farce just makes you look like a really pitful, not so smart person with very passionate but flawed logic (that was the nice version of how you really sound)

Honestly, in my opinion, her performance was more grammy worthy than oscar worthy. Her acting wass ok, but it was not spectacular. I think it is the Ocars way of trying to incorporate more diversity into their awards.

Sharty, what the who-hah does the one have to do with the other?
I respect your opinion on the worthiness of her performance. You're certainly entitled to it. Apparently her peers in the acting profession disagreed with you, since they voted her the award.
