I doubt it.....unless your mother suffered from insomnia as well, maybe it's genetic?

I think the only thing insomina would do to a baby, is create stress. Mom gets stressed out, baby gets stressed out.

While a fetus can and often does sleep while the mother is awake and moving about, it also relies on the mother's lowered resting heart rate to get rest and settle into a habit of nighttime sleep. So yeah, it's possible, but not definite. Isn't it weird how much a fetus can be affected before it's even in this world?

dont think it's hereditary, but your sleep patterns are learned. definitly you have picked up some bad habits even though your mom had to work graveyard. start having nite time rituals. that will get you winding down better. if all else fails see a sleep clinic. other than that it has no effect on an unborn baby.

Whether a pregnant mother is awake or asleep, it doesn't affect the unborn baby...the unborn baby sleeps anyway, whenever it wants to. Lack of sleep will harm her more than an unborn baby...
