When you danced your very first Dance? I was at Junior Prom...The song was "Misty"

I didn't have a prom but I did have a first dance with my high school girlfriend which eventually turned out to be my wife.
It was 1974. The place was called Uncle Sam's in Davenport Iowa. They had a lighted Dance floor and the song was (I can't tell you why) by the Eagles. OMG I had so many feelings for the first time coursing through my veins. It was magic, mystery, discovery and deep hidden desires I never knew I could have.
I will perhaps never get those innocent feelings back again

LOL @ Yo Mom. American Pie is a VERY long song. That must've been B-R-U-T-A-L. My very first dance was the electric slide at some family gathering when I was a kiddo. I hope that counts. When I was in school I never really attended major dances and I missed my prom so I never got a REAL dance I guess...

Well it wasn't really a dance, but when I was in grade 4 (i was about 11, 43 years ago), I met a very pretty girl from my class at the ice skating rink. She could not skate well, so I held her in my arms (from behind so she wouldn't fall) for most of a Saturday afternoon. I'll always remember that day and I still remember her name. That was the only time we ever did anything together outside of school.
Interesting though, I met my wife at a rollerskating rink ten years later, and the circumstances and feeling were exactly the same, and here we are 33 years later still together.

i was in 8th grade at a dance....it was "All My Life" by kaci & jojo....to the guy I had the biggest crush on! he died in a car accident 20 days after we graduated high school!
