I'm in the same boat--I'm my own worst critic. It's hard for me to understand people who are blind to themselves; I live at the other end of the spectrum. People tell me I'm too hard on myself a lot. I need more self-compassion!

I've faced that problem off and on during my life time.
There was one good movie I saw "Ordinary People" that helped me out a lot. It showed how you really have to think through the situation to fully understand what the true source of the frustration of your problem is.
That movie also helped me realize how the importance of communication of your emotions with others truly is. And self love is necessary in order for you to be able to love others back and start to live a normal life again.
The character learned to forgive himself when he realized his anger was not really against himself but against his brother who did not do enough to help himself.
That character did go to therapy and in the end he was on the road to getting his life back. I think it won 3 academy awards. I posted some links below about it in case you want to see the movie.

You know what, when I was much younger I wasn't able to forgive myself for all the bad things that have happened to me. I'll tell myself "i did this to myself...i'm the one to blame, if i could've done this, done that, this would never have happened.."
But you know at this point in my life i;ve realized that looking back at the past and the mistakes that i've done i would've never aquired the wisdom that i think i have now...
We only live once... Live it!

Wow. I was just telling my Psychiatrist this two days ago.
Yes. I did something that I shouldn't have for about a year. But that was 3 years ago and I can't seem to forgive myself for it. The only person who was hurt was me (and my soul) but I still despise myself and think of my sefl as garbage for it.
I wonder why..........
Good Question

in the beginning, it relies upon on the form you define "Muslim". in simple terms submitting your will to God would not seem adequate for some interpretations of Islam (e.g. each and all of the Takfeerees and complicated line Salafees accusing different Muslims of bida and proclaiming them to be a murtad or kaafir for that alleged bida). So, working example, the Bible makes it sparkling that Jesus drank wine, and inspired others to drink wine. Do Muslims partake in alcohol? As for why Christians call themselves Christians, this is because of the fact they provide concept to themselves to be the disciples of Jesus, and the disciples of Christ have been called "Christians" (cf. Acts 11:26). Christianity isn't defined by utilising how some lone Muslim interprets some lone verse in the Bible; fairly Christianity is defined by utilising the Bible in toto, and, while it comes to a million/2 of the Christian international (e.g. Catholics and Orthodox), by utilising Church custom besides. So, working example, in case you prefer to cite from the gospel of John, you may desire to additionally evaluate John a million:a million-3, John a million:18, John 5:18, John 17:5, and John 20:28, which help Christian doctrines collectively with Jesus is the divine son of God, Jesus took area in introduction, Jesus existed till now the cosmos began, Jesus seen himself equivalent with God, Jesus is LORD AND GOD. All which could be chanced on without quoting Paul... by utilising the way, have you ever examine what the Qur'an says approximately Christians? on a similar time because it assaults their ideals, Soorat at Tawba 9:30 however recognizes that Christians declare Jesus is the son of God. consequently, even by utilising the common of the Qur'an, a "Christian" is, a minimum of, defined as a individual who believes Jesus is the son of God.

Judging yourself is all about being honest with yourself and offering yourself constructive criticism. I see judging myself as this, if I can't do it to myself who can or will tell me the truth. Every person needs to be able to be honest with themselves no matter what situations in life that they may be going through but be honest with yourself especially in the hard times. When a person is honest and judgmental of themselves in the hard times, with someone who can console them allows them to grow and heal them as a person. I AM able to JUDGE myself; I do it when I notice something that I'm not proud of and I ask my husband's opinion of it. My husband gives me honest opinions and I take the time to actively listen to him because he is me and he's able to console me, support me, and guide me through finding solutions and find other ways to accept who I am and what I my soul really represents.
