My friend is a low spot, he is in therapy, on meds, and sinking in debt...?

what can I do to help? Seriously, he's not in the spot for anything even vaguely romantic- but he needs something to cheer him up.

Rent a good feeling movie with him. Maybe he should look into Bankrupcy? That could take a load off? Best wishes!

Just be there. When someone is at their lowest just having someone there to spend time with that won't judge you is a huge gift from a true friend.
