It was a gag, sadly. There's been gossip about the rumor mill that he will run, but I don't know. This could be just to get a reaction out of the people. I REALLY HOPE he runs, cuz he would win in a second.

The Oscars "announcement speech" was a joke - obviously a much too subtle one for some folks.

A statue for a statue how good can it get? Still can't get over the Bush victory in 2001 I see. By the way it was Gore who tried to steal that election.

Wow, your still bringing that up after 6 years??? I'm sure it was Bush that cut his speech at the Oscars, or it could be the fact that he went too long and has an alloted time limit.

Gore is a pompass butt. He shouldn't be in politics. Am I the only one that remembers he claimed he invented the internet? Yea, not a chance. What about him being a slum lord in his rental homes? And lets not forget his crazy wife Tipper the let's stop the right to free speech. They are just a pair of people that shouldn't be going around the white house. And please, who wants a crybaby for president? Hanging chad.... oh yea, I am also voting democrat in '08, just not for him if he does run again. I think maybe the skit was there to put out his feelers to see if anyone is even interested in him.

You really need a Kool Aid intervention. Nobody stole anything from him. More people voted for W than voted for Fat Albert. It's been proven time 7 again.

Good Lord....you really fell for that?
He didn't announce his candidacy...he simply won an Oscar.

That was, unfortunately, just a skit planned by Gore & DeCaprio.
You could almost hear the audience holding their breath.

Let's set the the record straight. Bush won the election in 2000. He won in Florida and he won nationwide. He won 100% of the vote of all educated voters. You do not even know what year the election was held.

Uhhhhhh No..watching him speak is like watching paint dry, even though I think his intentions are good and would probably make a good president he is just a boring speaker and in a political race that will hurt you.
