I only wear this much because last year on my 13th birthday i got chicken pox and they were REALLY bad and now i have scars all over my face from them! Thanks.

Why not??If it makes you feel good about yourself and sounds like you are applying it right to only hide the scars..
But you should go to a dermatologist to do something about your skin..
There's lots of creams out there that would help you a lot.

Sounds like you are doing fine. Try some Physicians Formula green concealer for the scars. Maybe the kind in the lipgloss like tube because it also come with another concealer to go over the green. This keeps you from having to wear foundation. Be sure you apply your blush with fine quality brush a size smaller than your powder brush. Apply it at the apples of the cheeks and lightly up to your temples. You want a look that makes you look naturally flushed like after a run. Then apply some powder to set everything and be sure to go over your eyelids as well. Don't use the puff that comes with it. Buy yourself a large, good quality powder brush and apply with circular motions. The brush keeps you from applying too much and making the powder look cakey. Always remember to tap excess off of the brushes so you don't use too much. If you like you can apply a coat of mascera to make your eyes stand out.

You can get medication from your Doctor to help clear the marks left from the chicken pox.

Makeup clogs your pores, your skin can't breath. No one may know you're not wearing makeup but your skin knows (and I suspect people do know, you can't hide foundation, concealer, powder and blush) It's not helping your skin and that's what you're worried about.

Go to your Doctor, he can refer you do a Dermatologist (if needed) or just go to a Dermatologist. They have all sorts of meds that can clear your face, you won't need the makeup and you'll be doing your face a favor.

Good luck...I hope you get clear beautiful skin

I know exactly how you feel you see I used to put on alot of makeup and I know what your going through I have deep acne scars you should try to get a laser resurfacing or also you could try a micro dermabrasion and for makeup tell your mom if she could by you biotherm foundation, powder, blush or whatever you want but tell her if it's okay this makeup is made up of mineral and water based and it won't clog pores or cause acne and it's liquid foundation so it covers pretty good oh and also if you can go to dermatologist cause I know how expensive they are ask if they can do a dermafiller it fills up scars and elevates them into surface level

Wearing too much makeup can clog your pores and also make you feel dirty and sick (in some cases).
Seeing as you feel insecure about the way you look, I wouldn't advise you to get rid of the makeup. Feeling good about yourself is important, but make sure you don't feel you have to wear makeup everyday.

Despite what is left over from your chicken pox, you're probably gorgeous! and I'm not just saying that. You're 13 and maybe need to try and remember that people like you for who you are and not what your face looks like.

Anyway, back to the question.
It should be ok, but try and lighten it up a bit. Keep it natural (sounds like you're already doing that). Less is more, just wear enough to make yourself feel confident and you'll shine like a star!

xx

if people really can't tell you're wearing makeup, then it sounds like you're doing fine! It won't wreck your skin, although makeup does make your skin more prone to zits and stuff. But if you wash it off when you get home and take care of your skin in other ways, you should be good. If you don't want to wear makeup though, try scar removers that can be found at the drugstore - I don't really know how well they work, but it's worth a try!

hmm if you are using oil-based cosmetics this could give you some acne. Look for stuff that says "non-comogenic" (actually i forget how it's spelled but it's something like that.

Since you're 13 don't be worried about chicken pox scars, everyone's going to be having scars from acne, and stuff. Talk to a dermatologist about your scars. You could use some fade cream or scar cream like Mederma and just a little bit of concealer while they are fading. Then you can fade out your scars and you won't have to feel self conscious about how you look.

I'm beauty therapist and makeup artist. There is a treatment called Micro Dermabrasion. It involves a varied jet of crystals (known as Corundum Powder) is suctioned across the skin in order to exfoliate the layers of dead skin cells . The suction and abrasive encourages the production of Collagen and Elastin, two very important factors in a smooth, firm and healthy skin. Because you have scars you'll have to go more than 2 sessions, which can be expensive. But if you find it too expensive there are other treatments, they won't be as strong but its worth trying them out. I suggest you go to beauty therapist and get a full consultation. They will be able to tell you what treatment is needed.

Women generally wear makeup all the time anyway (for no good reason)

If your chicken pox was as bad as you say and wearing makeup makes you feel more confident then wear it. But keep it to a minimum and wash it off when you get home.

Any marks on your face will clear up over time and you wont need makeup.

Be strong. You will grow up to be beautiful

I think you are wearing the right amount of makeup: when I was your age, I wore just straight up foundation and I didn't start wearing mascara until I was 14 (8th grade). Just make sure you wear a non-comedogenic makeup ( like neutrogena clear face) and wash your face every night.
