I cant use an aux cable or the tape converter. I know there is something that connects to the cigerette lighter but I am not entirely sure. If you know what i am talking about and somewhere I could get a good price on one I would be much obliged.

Thanx

A radio transmitter...In order for them to work, you MUST HAVE A RADIO IN YOUR CAR. They transmit your music on a given radio frequency. You can buy either a more expensive one(50$) that plugs into your lighter slot for power, or a less expensive one(15$) that runs on batteries. Wal-mart would have the best prices.

Option one is if you have a tape deck in your stereo you can get a tape adapter that will go directly from the iPod to the stereo. This offers superior audio quality, one wire (ipod to stereo), and no programming.

The programming comes into play if you want to transmit the iPod signal over your FM radio. This isn't the easiest route, but it seems to be a little more popular. There are many things you can purchase for this, most of them far more expensive than a tape deck. With this though comes complications with programming stations and making sure they aren't interfered with by local radio stations. The option you are talking about is one that hooks into your power outlet (cigarette lighter) and charges your ipod. Some not only do this but also transmit the audio over FM, others have an output that puts the audio out to a tape deck. The latter is a bit more complicated as far as wires go but not bad with sound quality and the ability to charge your ipod at all times. I put some links below with a few of these on Amazon.com. Expensive at times, but no wires at times and sometimes are as easy as hooking one piece to the bottom of the iPod. So you have simplicity, cost efficiency, and sound quality with the tape deck. But no tape deck...onto the FM transmitter.

Buy a Monster FM transmitter from this guy:

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZelectronic_essentials4uQQhtZ-1

They are top quality and give a strong, low interference signal. Everything else is cheap and low quality. The ones that take batteries don't transmit a strong enough signal, has to plug into the cigarette lighter for good quality.

They cost $80 in the stores. This guy sells them in new condition for $34 with shipping (if you're setup to buy on ebay).

Make sure you get the kind that charges, the other kind only plugs into the headset jack on your mp3 player and works great, but the other one does both functions.

That's the easiest way to setup your ipod MP3 player in your car with the best quality.

Get a radio transmitter. It transmits your MP3 player to a blank radio station of your choice. You just plug it into your MP3 player via the headphone jack. These range from $25-50.

You can buy a device that connects your mp3 to the cigarette lighter which will then broadcast your songs through to the car radio. Get one that has a choice of several different channels to broadcast on.
